JEHOVAH, THE ONLY TRUE GOD

Different religions have different names by which they call their gods. For example, Muslims call their god Allah. Likewise, many other religions have names for the gods they worship. However, there is a GOD who is above all gods, the GOD of God's, the LORD of Lords, and the KING of Kings. His name is JEHOVAH.

When you hear people from other religions call upon the names of their gods, there is no need to argue with them. The Bible makes us understand that there are many gods in the world.

The Scripture says: For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 1 Corinthians 8:5

There are many gods that people worship, but those who know the truth understand that there is only one true God. His name is JEHOVAH, OLÓRUN OLÓDÙMARÈ.

The Bible says:

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

My grandfather, who was my mother's father, was a devoted Muslim throughout his life. However, when he came to know the truth, he allowed all his daughters to marry Christians, including my mother. Even his firstborn son became a Christian and married a Christian woman, and their children were raised as Christians.

Every year, we grandchildren would visit him to celebrate Maulid Nabiyy with him.

I believe that because my grandfather had spent most of his life in Islam and was highly respected in his mosque and religious community, it was difficult for him to completely leave the religion. Nevertheless, we could clearly see how much he embraced Christ through his character, actions, and attitude toward Christians.

When I lived with my grandfather, if we were late for church, he would wake us up and tell us to go to church on time. Interestingly, I also attended Qur'anic classes (Ile Kewu) during that period. No one forced me to attend; I went willingly because I loved listening to the beautiful recitation of the Qur'an.

So, through my experiences, observations, and personal study, I came to understand what truth is and who the true God is.

One thing about the true God is that He is full of love, mercy, and compassion. Even though we are not perfect and often go against His will, He is slow to anger and rich in mercy. He does not force anyone to follow Him. Instead, He lovingly encourages us to walk in the right path.

His doctrine does not create hatred or enmity between people of different religions. The Bible calls Him the God of peace. He is not a God of violence, terrorism, or oppression. He does not command His followers to kill others because they refuse to believe. His laws are given for our benefit, prosperity, and eternal salvation.

Jesus taught that when the Gospel is preached in a city and people refuse to receive it, believers should leave peacefully. He did not command His followers to kill, destroy, or hate those who reject the message.

We also see examples in the Scriptures where the Israelites lived peacefully with people from other nations, tribes, cultures, and beliefs. They made covenants of peace with some of them.

One example is found in the account of King Saul and the Gibeonites. The Gibeonites had a covenant of peace with Israel. However, Saul violated that covenant and killed many of them. As a result, during the reign of David, a famine came upon the land for three years.

This teaches us that God values justice, faithfulness, and peace, even when dealing with people who are not part of His covenant community.

This helps us understand that our GOD is a GOD of love, peace, mercy, justice, and compassion.

There is no prophet or any man who suffered, died, and shed his blood for the salvation of mankind and Rise again except Jesus Christ.

Through Him, we can find our way to the Father.

The Bible says:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Neither let anyone deceive you, for salvation is found in no other name:

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 except the name of JESUS CHRIST
